An open letter to the DfE

We are pleased to share an open letter to the DfE signed by 18 groups. This letter calls for greater ambition in government policy related to climate change and sustainability education. It also contains an analysis comparing the DfE’s stated plans with publicly-available information about the delivery of policy. This appears to show significant gaps in the delivery of existing policies. The letter requests a comprehensive written update on progress towards each point in the DfE’s Sustainability Strategy and extends an offer to the DfE of dialogue and collaboration to raise the ambition and ensure the delivery of crucial climate education policies.

This letter was delivered to the DfE on 4 April 2024.
